Free advice for the tinfoil hat crowd.

Post by ScottT »

You understand, it is worth what you paid for it. :D

I get a lot of PMs when the paranoia level gets deep and it is interesting to see how many folks won't say anything about it publicly. But seriously guys, here are a few tips to keep you out of the dark place:

1. If you are smoking, ingesting, injecting or otherwise taking in recreational drugs that you do not have a prescription for, cut it out. You don't make good decisions when you are on them. They are contraband and you will feel a lot better when you don't have to hide anything.

2. If you are messing with illegal machine guns, silencers or sawed off shotguns that you have not paid the taxes on, cut it out. You know you are breaking the law. Think about how much better you will feel when you have nothing to hide.

3. If your friends are doing dope or carrying illegal weapons, don't let them ride in your car, and don't ride in theirs.

4. If you have been drinking, don't get behind the wheel.

5. If you feel like hitting your spouse, go get some air.

6. Don't steal anything.

7. If you get a traffic ticket, pay the fine or fight it. Don't let it turn into a warrant.

8. If you are addicted to kiddy porn, please commit suicide.

Always remember that cops are as human as you are. They cannot read your mind nor do they want to. They are blissfully ignorant of your existance until you do something to come on their radar screen. You are not important enough for the FBI to care what you say in an e-mail or on the telephone unless it is in the commission of a crime. You just are not that important.

If you will keep these few tips in mind, you will stay out of jail. You will feel much better about yourself. You won't have to worry about being stopped by the police. Hell, you will even be safer from bad guys.

Take all the money you saved from quitting the dope and put it in a personal retirement account. This will give you peace of mind when you get older, and you will get older because you quit the dope. :D (That's a bonus you probably did not count on.) You can disregard the advice on the retirement account if you have the kiddie porn issue, especially if you committed suicide.

Good advice Scott.

Someone was talking about modern guns once, and I asked them what they wanted X gun for, they said "what are you going to do with a 30-30 when the alphabet police show up at your house?". I said, "Nothing, I'd go out and ask them if they wanted coffee, they wouldnt have any reason to be looking for me".

Amen to that brother. It would sure make my life a whole lot easier. My case load of DSHS/CPS child sexual assault/abuse files is approximately 15 at any given time. That's not including any of the other major crimes I have at the time.

I think the dope and the tin foil hat paranoia go hand and hand.
That and a gallon of chocolate milk and a large bag of Doritos.
That which does not kill me has made a grave tactical error.

So succintly said. Why is it that the simplest concepts seem to be the hardest for some? Don't answer, it was a rhetorical comment. Thank you Scott.

I’ll argue that too much booze & maybe inbreeding are also factors!....

Boys, this was not directed at any single individual. Just common sense advice.

It's a good thing you added the second post. I bet somewhere someone jumped up from their computer and started checking their room for bugs.

From the advice I gather people ask you questions regarding the legality of actions taken/about to take. My rule of thumb is, "if you have to ask, you probably shouldn't". :D

Great advice you gave. And it is definitely worth alot more than we paid for it. 8)

Chris Rock cracks me up.

The only thing I would add, in the vein of "don't tug on Superman's cape" is: "Don't mess wit da eagle !" - in other words, watch your step, when it comes to the Feds.

Oh no! If we start mixing religion in this one, we will enter a whole new realm of tinfoil. Let's just keep this within the bounds of staying out of the dark place.

It's the dope that made the tin foil hat crowd what they are today,.....politicians!

Now they're going to help us all live a better life.

Scott
That advice was worth way more than it cost.
