I Hate To Ask......But

Post by Blaine »

I know prayer works. My kidneys have been aching on each side. Not stones. At first it seems like sore muscles from a little snow removal a couple weeks ago.. So, if you would please. 8)

Yes, 2X the prayers -- but also 3X the water intake.

It can only help, but do get some help if it persists.

My mom just went through a bout like that; which they said was due to "low water intake"...

What I have learned, right here in this forum, is that it never hurts to ask for God's grace, and certainly the good fellas here must have a direct pipeline through prayer, because the prayers from members here sure have helped me in my times of need.

Prayers up for sure!

Blaine, if you gotta go in to a regular clinic to get this taken care of get off some of those bucks and do it! Don't mess around with your health, as I might need you to guide me around western Wash this summer. Thinking of a little fishing/crabbing/claming trip up around Port Angeles.

I had a set of labs last Thursday...There was no sign of active infection in the urine. Waiting on blood test results. Docs are curious, but not especially worried. I still feel like I pulled muscles on both flanks... :? :?

Thanks for asking. I appreciate it. 8)

yup, prayers UP for all your needs.

there is a kidney disease called, I think, nephritis. It's a killer, and it's mis-diagnosed until the patient dies. unless you find a real physician.

Phenazopyridine, brand is Azo Standard, helps a lot with kidney pain. It is in the pain reliever and in the Women's products sections of any drugstore. Just don't spell the name. It makes the people at the pharmacy laugh.

The stuff that makes your "P" orange....I've been using it. Maybe the left side has cleared up. Right side not so much. Doc sez urine and blood have no indications of what ails me....

Not sure what is wrong. There is a product called Cystex which is hard to find anymore. When combined with any source of vitamin C, such as the cranberry juice you are drinking, it makes the urine acidic enough to kill bacteria. Even if your Doctor can't find any evidence of it, there could be a low grade infection known as interstitial nephritis going on. That combination works well for cases like that, and can help dissolve some types of kidney stones. Unfortunately, it is not an exact science.

I'll give that a try, too....Something else I've found in my research is that long term Omeprazole is quite the bad character. They've had me on it 12+ years. Turns out it can leave you very susceptible to all sorts of Gut Issues. I took myself off of that 2 months ago and don't miss it. Originally it was for Acid Reflux/Ulcer. The VA "Doc" said there were no problems with long term use....
I think I've heard the Clarion Call and have decided that all these meds are no replacement for proper eating, weight loss, and a bit more exercise.

Blaine, good to know about Omeprazole. I take it for gastro esophageal reflux disease, too, but only on an as-needed basis.
Hope you can get this thing whipped.

Back at the turn of the century :D It cured my esophagal (?) erosion and ulcer. I just believe I should have been taken off of it toot sweet....Coming off the Omeprazole was rough...lot's of hearburn, but after a couple weeks it's ok. I do keep tums handy...
