I think the key here is to actually SKIN the squirrel before cooking...

So if you leave the skin on to keep the juices IN do you gut them?
Besides if ya deep fry them in lard they stay juicy!! Mmm lard.

On somewhat of a side note in never was big on eating squirrels . But I digress , my exwife is Peruvian she told me they regularly cooked and ate what we call Guinie Pigs .
Parkers , Mannlicher Schoenauer’s , 6.5mm's and my family in the Philippines !

They raise them to eat, much like my grandparents used to raise rabbits for the same purpose.

I feel it's necessary to point out that the squirrel and it's preparation didn't have much to do with the fire.

The fire was caused by the man's carelessness in leaving his torch lit and unattended while something other than what was intended caught fire.
