Deadly Duo's -- Let's See Your "Bullet & Blade" Combo's
I recall JReed or Ysabel Kid, and some others too, would sometimes start some "Let's see your X..." or "Combo" postings of various guns. And knives are always popular on this forum too.
So...
Let's see your "Bullet & Blade" Combo's!
Could be just whatever you have, or maybe a gun & knife that go well together for a specific use, reason or that fit a theme... Something like big game hunting, small game, cowboy action, self defense, woods walking, whatever... Your choice.
I'll start with my "Don't Mess With Me" combo... That's my SIG P226 Stainless Elite (in 9mm) with the new Hogue "Piranha" black & gray G10 grips that I just added (they are much thinner and "grippier" than the standard rosewood grips -- what a great enhancement), along with the CRKT Shrill Boot Knife with black & gray scales that I just picked up.
I've got a couple of other combo's in mind, but it will take a few days to put them together.
Let's see what you got!

I'll play No. 7.
If I want to keep it light, my Springer Micro Compact .45 and a Buck Pak-Lite Skinner in an Extreme Edge kydex sheath. My EDC fixed blade.
For being woodsy, my 2nd Gen SAA in .357 with my grandfather's Remington and compass he carried while a warden in the Allagash.

Re: Deadly Duo's -- Let's See Your "Bullet & Blade" Combo's
Nice duo, Old Savage! My older (much) brother has a New Frontier .22 just like yours, except the .22 WRM cylinder has one chamber that never cut for a cartridge. He claims that they did that specially for him so he wouldn't have to pick a random chamber for the "skip one" step of "5-beans in the pot"... his gun and mine lack the hammer block safety they put in some of the later ones. The .22 LR cylinder has all six chambers.
I also have an NF combo, but mine has the 6" barrel. Beautiful little guns.
Your Remington is a jewel, as is the compass. I keep a compass in my bugout in case our GPS ever gets hacked or shot down. Ya never know these days.

Re: Deadly Duo's -- Let's See Your "Bullet & Blade" Combo's
These are two of my favorites so-far:
I don't really have any 'nice' knives (according to the household Knife Authority, my son, who has no good feelings for a knife costing less than $100 or so), but maybe I can scrounge up a pic of what I actually do pair-up at home/work...
Ruger Single-Six in 22 LR, or 7-shot AMT 1911 in 45 ACP, with Kobalt utility knife (...don't get jealous of the knife, guys ) for 'out doing farm chores':
15-shot Para in 45 ACP, or 7-shot SIG 938 in 9mm, with Leatherman Wave for 'out among the 2-legs':
Ruger 96/44 44 Mag, with generic 3-9x scope, and generic button-activated laser [ ], and $20 'Ramster Survival Knife', and small Wal-Mart 'Buck' knife for "You can't hunt with THAT...!" whitetailing..."
I guess the whitetail package is just what evolved to really work best after I tried lots of other things; the 4-shot detachable magazine and faster-twist of the Ruger makes for legal road-crossing, heavier bullet accuracy, and the scope helps me see in still-legal twilight, with the laser letting me know if any hard-to-see intervening branches could be an issue. The big cheap knife with it's all-thread hand guard has reach for trimming branches and heft for cutting ribs, and the little knife is compact and sharp and perfect for field-dressing. The oddball recoil-pad (made for 10/22's) helps add enough length of pull for better handling, plus helps the gun-butt not slip if leaned against the wall on a slick floor.

Re: Deadly Duo's -- Let's See Your "Bullet & Blade" Combo's
Came up with a few more.
First, my favorite carry. Colt LW Commander. 45, my Kershaw Skyline, and my Stylus Pro.
My old 2.5"RB Smith model 19 with my Kershaw Cryo.
My old Colt SAA .45 with my Bark River Fox River in Elmax super stainless and an old box compass.
OS reminded me of my old New Frontier .22. Mine is a pre-crossbolt I bought when I was in high school. The Frontier Scout is a convertible I bought ANIB about 20 years ago. They are with a Marbles skinner and an old Imperial two blade jack I found walking home from school in the sixth grade.
Next up is the Smith 629 my dad bought for me when I graduated from high school. The Buck 102 he bought for me when I was 10.
My grandfather's old High Standard model B. A Steven's. 22 I bought when my son was 5 that we had a lot of fun with. My old Boy Scout knife.
My Smith and Wesson 66 sitting with a used and abused Kershaw Brawler."Oh bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round.

Truly sad how many kids grow up without a dad like that...Next up is the Smith 629 my dad bought for me when I graduated from high school. The Buck 102 he bought for me when I was 10.
Let's all try to be 'good dads' - or make sure our kids are good dads.

OI,
Yeah, I'm never without that little light.
Doc,
My Dad is the best. He is still doing well and is my best friend. Once I was out and working, I made sure I gave him more guns than he gave me. But I can still never repay him.

Finally, I got a picture to submit. That is my Glock 22, and my Buck 110. That is my going for a long walk in the evening combination. I can cover the pistol with a button up shirt, wear a t-shirt under it, and that Don Hume holster holds it where it is hard to spot.

Re: Deadly Duo's -- Let's See Your "Bullet & Blade" Combo's
Here is my combo for where there is a potential that I could be on the menu, at least where it is legal to carry such equipment. One knife is a Schrade with 1095 steel, and it gets quite sharp. The other is a hand made knife in 440 C steel that has been quenched and then cyclically heat treated to be about 56 RC hardness while optimizing the flexibility to maintain toughness and decrease brittleness.

No style, but another one.
My current nightstand pistol. I replaced the Glock 21SF on the stand with this 19 cause of my wife's ability to shoot it really well......I'm gone at night. All stock but for the
TLR-1 and a set of Warren Sevigny sights.
The knife is a Gerber skeleton I did a paracord wrap on and put in an Extreme Edge kydex sheath. It rides in my get home bag.
