Griff, I am not making bullets yet but in the last week or so I turned four buckets of wheelweights into ingots. Bullets to follow soon.

Nice looking batches of boolits! And it looks like you also have gas-checking to do on a couple of those "Fulll Pounds"... that's what I was doing tonight until my fingers got sore and I decided to mess around on the computer instead. One style was really being tough to get the check onto, when I had the bright idea of setting the checks out on top of the wood stove. Voila! much easier to get the hot check onto the cool base.

The checker feller does get a leetle warm, I'll admit.

Oh yeah! Good lookin' boolits. I like your containers too. I use old oil cans with the tops cut off.

30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Isn't it a lot more satisfying than buying bullets and I know, there is no way in heck I could shoot as much if I had to buy all my bullets. And for my purpose I think they work better too. Great way to help break winter boredom.

I don't need to cast any bullets. If I ever get back to shooting I've got more than I need to keep me busy forever.

However I sure do like those purty shiny 30-30 bullets

'Cause it's inconvenient to get the bullets in or out thru the little plastic cap that came in the top!
