New guy from Central WA saying Hello

Post by HawkCreek »

Hello from the not so green side of the Evergreen State!

I'm here mainly to learn. I have a few levers but I always use them for range toys rather than working guns, hopefully being here will prompt me to get the use on the levers that they deserve.

My Miroku collection: Winchester 1895SRC .30-06, Winchester 1892 .45 and a Browning 71
Image
Marlin 1895 in .45-70, Savage 99 in .300 Savage (family pass down), Winchester 71 and the previously shown Browning 71

This is the only picture I have of my 336Y, I've cleaned up the internals quite a bit but I have yet to fire it.

That will do nicely as a starter kit. Hint don't ask " should I x gun or y gun?" Here as the answer is usually both. A real bunch of enablers here. Welcome.

Welcome to the greatest bunch of gun owners. That is a mighty fine bunch of leverguns, looks like you are set to hunt any place.

Another howdie from WA. I'm on the wet side, have the moss and everything.

Great start on the levergun collection.

I like bullet cuff, does it live there? Is it battery operated to speed the feed?

Best,

Welcome from the Idahp panhandle, where all the folks from Washington come to recreate. See more Washington plates on the weekend than locals, by far! Can't say that I blame 'em ..I like it here too!
This is plagiarized from someone else, but I love it!

You can drop them off here anytime. I know how they can get in the way, wouldn't want you to trip over them and injure yourself.

I love your 1895 !!!

Best,
That was a prototype I made up. Never got around to shooting the gun with the cuff on it so I dont know if it'd keep ammo or dump shells at your feet when you touched a round off. I'm not smart enough to mechanize it so it was just a simple manually operated idea.

Idaho's got some nice country for sure, haven't been there in years though. Last time was a quick in and out trip to Cabelas.

That's funny because I have literally tripped over the Winchester 1895 one time. But I wasn't injured so I suppose I'll keep 'em for now.

Well I do keep thinking I should get a Marlin 39 so... My step dad had a well worn 99/22 magnum that was his truck gun around the ranch here that I wish I had. It went to a family member who wouldnt sell it to me and instead took it to a pawn shop.
