Grandson's First Upland Bird Hunt

Post by crs »

This hunt was the day after Thanksgiving, but I just now got around to posting the picture.
You have seen pix of Troupe before with hogs, deer, and exotics, and now his first pheasant and quail!
He is the tall kid with the huge grin between his mom and granddad(me).
He did well for his first outing for live birds (he does shoot clays very well) and dropped 6 quail and a pheasant or two.
To my left is a friend who is smiling because he was able to hunt rather than work on his farm.

PS all our shotguns had levers on them!

Bill, as you may have guessed, those levers are used to open double barrel shotguns.
