Ok, here's the poll. It looks like there are really only 3 choices... Select ONE. Comments welcome. Up until the close of the poll, you may change your vote...

One personal note... I don't really want to run a bunch of these things, if that's the way it goes. So, I'll ask that if you want a bunch of different matches, be ready to step up and help... same if we do one big, "anything goes" match.

8) With those choices, I'd say leave it alone. I merely would have liked rifle calibers, and .22 included. I can still see irons good enough if I equip that Henry .357 with a good tang sight, and proper front.

Soooo.... reading between the lines, I see a vote for separate & distinct matches, limited to .22 and rifle calibers... no scopes or other changes to the original?

NoSir...Just saying keep the lever action only, all your other rules, but add the other calibers, and .22..Still just one match..I don't think that would give or take any advantages, but, I'm absolutely willing to be corrected on that matter. I understand you .45 Colt shooters come with an inherent accuracy problem, but you could switch to .44 mag...

It would be neat to see a 100 yd any position (no lead sled) iron sight pistol caliber one.
Kind regards,

I had planned to submit a target. However, the wife disapproved my request to go to the range stating that I should attend a family wedding with her instead. High hopes to participate in the next match.

Ok, in a 76 vs 24 landslide I will continue to post a Leverguns Postal Match for pistol caliber leverguns as I have for the past 3 months. It would sure be nice to see those 76 votes translated into entries tho'!!! :P So what if Shasta beats us all the time... if won't hurt your shooting!!!

However, if someone else would take on the challenge of administering a rifle caliber leverguns match similar to this one... I'd be game to enter. Your match, your rules. 50 yards, 100 yards, off-hand, bench rest or ???

OK. How about an air powered scope sighted match at 100 yards? :D I've got a new PCP on order that should be capable of launching a heavy for caliber projectile to 100 yards with plenty of authority (for caliber). And then there's the UK power level ProSport (it's got a lever to cock it with!) that should be accurate enough to 100 yards, if I can find a windless day to shoot it at that distance.

Seriously, though, thanks for heading this up, Griff!
