I went with no electric for a weekend when it fell down the road and took out the wires and then when the tree co. showed up and was cutting it up and tryed to take the wood i went down while they were cutting and picked it up and told them thats my property your steeling and reported them. There not to take the wood just clear the lines.
WE had a nice hot topic going till 1 guy F ed me and was telling me i'll kick your old *** back up the road. i said i am armed and ready to protect what is mine so you other guys better step back or you will have brain splatter on you if this guy has a brain. They left pretty quick when i unzipped my coat and my pistol was visible.They did unload what they had in the truck even the chips first as i stood and watched.

I can be a NASTY old bastard if i get pushed about 1/2 a mm.the wrong way by some young muscle bound big mouth punk kid.explicitly when i go 2 days with no heat. and at 10 paces i don't miss.

and when the police showed up they agreed with me since i had sold the guy a ar15 a few weeks before this happened and he was a friend of mine.

I made the electric co send a rep to my house to apologize before it was all said and done. They had filed a report like i pulled my piece.I said if i pulled it there would have been a coroner here mam on the phone.
I pay over $25 a month wire maintenance fees and was left a weekend with no heat ,my daughter my son and my house and the farm house are the last houses on the line and it ends at the farm house .the other end of the road stops and there is over 1/2 mile of just woods between with no poles.in 1977 the wires fell down and they ended there and i cut the poles down between on my land ending there rite of way in my book.so not to ever have housed built between.
so i had to use it for something not just cut it up.TARGET PRACTICE
MY wife mite have been rite when she said 40 years back you can be a nasty little arrogant idiot.

Right is right, even just an old tree, they could already could already count the money from selling the wood. You done them a favor.
