Hurricane aftermath

Post by GunnyMack »

Here in NW (ugh) Jersey, having some wind and a little rain watching the Weather Channel I'm wondering how everyone has ridden out the storm. Hope everyone is safe.

Hope to chronograph some 41 loads today, check tree stands for tomorrow's bear archery opener.

While you're chronographing, put up a 50 yard target and post your results on October Lever action Pistol Caliber - Competition Shoot. Las Vegas has been nice. I lost $68.00 at the casino last nite... But, I got a wonderful ribeye steak and potatoes au gratin, wedge salad w/blue cheese and Roquefort, and fresh baked bread!

Griff, I'm SCOPED on the 41. Trying to figure out my load for NY deer season.
Having only been to Vegas once, was too young to hit the casinos I don't remember much other then seeing Wayne Newton's lawn on the approach into the airport. The ONLY green around! I much prefer the high mountian desert!

.

It looks like most of Florida's fairly OK (mostly tree & foliage everywhere), except for NE Florida, but the folks in both Carolina's took a direct hit, with over a dozen deaths (so far) - which, although sad, sounds much more fortunate than the 800 deaths in Haiti.

the rain was relentless. I rode into town about 4 pm. I saw enough water running over the road to decide to stay put after I got home. It's sunny now, the water that was running through the yard found its way to the pond. Just a little wind left now.

So with a NW wind of 15-25 all day and a high temp of about 58 I decided to not go and chronograph loads today.
Was a good day to veg.
