1911s. New photo

Post by 2ndovc »

The collection rebuild continues. Put a deposit on a Springfield 1911A1 style .45 today. :D
Here's the new R1 with my 1913 vintage 1911.

Nice !

I've become kinda partial to this one !

It'll need a new front blade and a action/trigger slick up but that's not so bad !

Kinda like this one as well , being in 10mm this thing just might be okay for deer inside 25 or so yards !

Really dig the 10mm!

I also like the little Officer's style FDE they have out now that's running about $475 or so. Gonna have to
try one or two of them.

I bought that one and a 1917 at an auction down in Southern Ohio about 20 years ago.
Wish I'd bought more there. What a gold mine that one was.

Nice pistols. I'm due for a new 1911a1 style pistol myself. Been a while since I've had one.

A 1911 .45 is just a good looking handgun. My grandson has a Springfield GI, a Rock Island and yesterday we stopped by the gun shop and he bought a Rock Island 3 1/2 inch .45, I think it will carry real nice.

Shot my colt 1911A1 yesterday at an antique half gallon can at 45 feet. Five eight round mags. Felt much better about the doves being rained out :|
