Haying

Post by BigSky56 »

I was swathing some alfalfa & brome, saw this coyote going along the windrows checking them out was able to get a pic of her, she would run ahead of the tractor. she has a litter of pups on the river next to this field. Should make some prime fur this fall. After she left a few deer came out to checkout the goings on, handful of meat bucks. danny

It don't get cold enough to get furs to prime condition here. Coyotes get shot when possible.

Driving across eastern Oregon yesterday, I saw a coyote in a large pasture with quite a number of cow/calf units. You could tell where the coyote was by the cows following its track across the pasture... calves seemed unaffected as they were all laying down...

Mowing down that grass stirs up the field mice.

Easy pickings for the coyote.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Makes sense to me!

Love them wildlife photos; miss my younger days as a mountain boy in the hills near Yosemite.

Nice office pics. When we cut sod the crows gulls and small birds are there to eat all the bugs and worms that get cut in half or rousted.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres
