Around Christmas time I re cut the barrels dovetail to a standard 3/8" rather than the very shallow
one they come with and installed a Marbles Patridge front with a gold top blade.
This sight has only an .080" wide blade and gives too much daylight on either side of the blade for me to get the best sight picture. That resulted in horizontal groups. Groups at 50' were 1" top to bottom but 3-4" side to side. I have trouble centering the front with lots of daylight showing on either side.
Here is the Gun with the Marbles Patridge sight installed.

Here is the new sight I made with a .140" wide blade. Now there is a thin but distinct white (daylight) space on either side of the blade when sighting. I have not fired it with the new sight yet but I have confidence that it will shrink that horizontal dispersion and make my groups round like they should be.

in the photo there seems to be a gap between the sight and barrel at the rear. that is the lighting because the gap both front and rear measure at .002".
