Steel Magazine Follower For .357 MAG Rossi 1892 Rifle
Hello. I bought this rifle from the original owner a few weeks ago. It's been well cared for, but is an older, (20yrs) model EMF Hartford. It has the usual plastic mag follower. I've tried Numrich Gun Parts; RossiUSA; & Brownells, all to no avail. Now I did go straight to Winchester for one for my .45 Colt Rossi 1892 several years ago, tho I'm doubtful they'll have one for .357MAG caliber. Can anyone suggest a possible source I might check along with Winchester for this part? Thanx for the feedback, jd45

I made one using a spent 40 S&W cartridge inside a 44 mag cartridge. A little solder and a propane torch. Good to go!

.
OR, you can make one with a hacksaw, a file & a power hand drill, from brass - like this (I used an old brass blackpowder measure).

Sorry guys, I should've mentioned that I've also contacted Steve, but haven't gotten a reply from him as yet. Pete, what you did in the pics is really impressive. I may try it. Thanx for all your help, guys. jd45

Pete44ru, Great idea! That's what I like about this forum! It's like my dad used to say, it's dangerous to get a bunch of boys together, what one boy don't think of another one will.

Just got a call from Phil at the smithshop. He fixed me up right quick, and get this.....he didn't take my credit card number. He said he'd send me the part with an invoice & I was to send him back a check for it. What do you think of that???
