Is this new to you?
the .303 should kick less than my .405.

Nice looking rifle.

It's spring time and the p-dogs are coming back. Time to get mine out again

Ya don't wound too many with a 405 do you CRS

It is new to me. Couldn't pass it up last month but really need to move it so I am in the process of getting it listed for sale.

Sometimes with a low shot, when the dust clears the dog and the mound are gone! :D

I just finished loading up some 400 grain Woodies with various amounts of N133 with velocities from 1900 to 2000+ and will plan to try them in my Simson Suhl .405 double soon! :D

I remember when AR's NE 450 NO2 (Tony) came by about 10 years ago. He liked my 405 95 and wanted to borrow it for a P-dog outing using factory pointy bullets. One popped up at ~15 yds and Tony let him have it. That pointy bullet wouldn't (or didn't have time to) open on such light resistance. When we went up to look at the remains, there was a fist sized hole in a mostly intact body...sort of a p-dog doughnut. He had bought a 95 405 before he got home to Texas. The rest is history.

LL
Speaking of fist sized holes in small game, years ago, when still hunting through and are known to have a lot of deer and turkey, I jumped a feral cat and reflexifly shot it on the run at less than 5 yards with a .308 150 grain bullet. Same result, = big hole, dead cat. I wrote this lucky shot off to rifle familiarity and a lot of clays shooting with a shotgun.
