Pricing opinions, please
I have a Remington 700 BDL,.308 Varminter, made in 1980, excellent condition, stock has a couple minor little safe bumps, blueing 97% at least, has been bedded, fired maybe 200 rounds. What should I maybe be asking for it? Thanks.
Re: Pricing opinions, please
Without doing any research, I would say $450 is a fair price for a quick sale. A gun store would probably offer you less then sell for more.
Sounds like a nice rifle. 700s of that vintage were well made. Hope you do well on it.

I had a 700BDL in 30'06 that was made in 79 or 80. Rifle was a tack driver, but I sold it three or four years ago to a dealer at a gunshow for $450.00. Had a Leupold 3X9 gold ring, but no bedding or anything else extra. Gander Mountain is showing them at $791.00 new, so I should think you'd get a little north of what I got, if you don't sell to a dealer.

My late '70s 700 BDL in 7mmRemMag ain't goin' that cheap, has upgraded wood, but is in no better shape. I figure that a Varminter mdl would be closer to $550.
