Finally got to the range with that 44 special colt.

Won't bore you with the lousy shooting, it just reminded me why you don't try to shoot a red target on a black background, even for fun. Finally turned the target over to the white side and did much better. I'll post an update after my new glasses get here next week.

Well, it sure don't seem to be that way in the inner cities. 40-50 bullets a day find their mark....and rightfully so.
May not be your eyes. Check those cylinder throats and groove diameters. Back in the day, as not many of the 44 Spl's/Russians were made, Colt may have used tooling from the 44-40 and you could be shoving a .430 bullet through a .425 throat and then down a .427 barrel.------6
Nice! I was shooting with my old readers on; my regular glasses are in the shop. With black hills ammo it's hitting about 4in high at 15ft. I'm rounding up dies and bullets before our Lt Gov. finds a way to register those.
