Does anything like this exist? I've been looking online for an appropriate case for my Model 94 for two days and haven't found anything. I really don't want a 40+ inch case because that's just a lot of material that's gonna be flopping around.
Material isn't an issue - just want a case (preferably zippered) that fits the rifle.
Thanks in advance.

Look up ""Ace Case" - they have a really big selection.
Good quality with reasonable prices.

Thanks - it looks like M1 cases are my best bet. They're the only ones shorter than 40 inches, but longer than 32 inches. I haven't looked for a gun case in a long time. I'm kinda surprised they don't have a case specifically tailored to a Winchester Mod 94 (with as many of these that were produced).Merle wrote:Look up ""Ace Case" - they have a really big selection.

I have a canvas case, but it's 59 years old and the zipper is becoming detached, and I really don't want to stress it by taking it to the range. One of these days, I have to try to find someone that can repair it.

Years ago I saw cases with "Marlin" or"10/22" on them - I believe it was in Cabela's catalog. Don't know what else they have, or if they are still available. They were black nylon with red trim & lettering.

yeah, they have those at the local Academy stores, but it felt like sacrilege putting a Winchester into a case that says Ruger on it.Merle wrote:jsimmons wrote:Thanks - it looks like M1 cases are my best bet. I went to the Winchester site thinking they'd have a case with "Winchester" on it, but no such luck.

I would suggest asking an old-time shoe repairman/shop; and, also, some men's tailoring / women's dress shops (or dressmakers), will fix or replace the zipper - but you might want to obtain a brass zipper first, if the case's original zipper is toast.

Re: 36-inch non-scoped rifle case
I also despise the fact that none of the "name" case makers make a 36-38" length shotgun case. But, I found a really nice 38" made by AMS of Longmont, CO. Their Southwestern Tapestry shotgun/rifle case.
1" of foam padding, good liner material that holds up to sharp front sights, or even the bayonet lug on my 1897 trench gun! Also made in several other lengths. Ain't cheap... but, I mean it stands well above what I've found from the likes of the current Allen cases. I bought a couple to replace some aging cases from formerly quality makers. Need to order more. Thanks for the reminder!
