Nice Hard Case for rifle
Was looking for a Hard Rifle Case and found this one for my Savage 1899 250-3000. Only could find two places that had them one was in Italy and it was over $700.00 the other was from the U.S. "Jeff's Outfitters, that's the one I got,the case is very well made, canvas and leather and very well padded inside. Nice heavy leather and the brass is thick.

At just over $200 the Jeff's Outfitters cases are a real bargain for the quality. I've purchased from them before it was Jeff's, and was called Cape Outfitters. Always been happy with their quality and pricing.

Re: Nice Hard Case for rifle
Surprising! Last I looked he didn't carry anything over 47" long, and that's not near long enough for most single shot rifles.Mossyoak1957 wrote:He has one just for the Sharps rifle.BlaineG wrote:One of those would be classy for my Sharps....

Re: Nice Hard Case for rifle
That is a very nice case; good score.
I picked up a "dusty" one of those for my side-by-side shotgun in an old gun shop for under $100, and luckily it cleaned up OK for me.
Nice thing about the hard case you got is you don't have to take down that rifle as often as you would if you had one of these cases... I don't actually use that leg-of-mutton case all too often for my Savage 99, but "I could" if I wanted to do so... (It just seemed like a neat old-time accessory to have, and it was really cheap from an antique shop...)
Tight groups.

Re: Nice Hard Case for rifle
I had a half dozen of those cases here from buying them at gun shows over the years. I realized that taking my take down guns apart constantly wasn't doing the gun any favor. So I recently put them all up for sale. They sure went quickly, so I guess guys still want them!Old No7 wrote:That is a very nice case; good score.
