Been a long time,

I am looking for values on a 94 Winchester imanufactured in 1955. Very little wear in original blue on the angled area ont the bottom side of the action. Light scratches or handling marks on the stock.

Just guesstimates

You buying or selling? I bought a 1955 about ten years ago for $350. Thought I got a deal.. I would guess $500-$600 .. Check. Gunlist ( the rag) or Gunbroker for completed sales.

A general trend can be seen on the various auction sites. Personally, I think they are all a bit too high.

The last nice (shooter grade) i saw in a dealers rack was marked $600. I bought a 98% pre 64 for that much and was happy to get it for that. A week later I found one in similar condition but in .32 sp. for
$450. I could not pass that up either. It depends on the area of the country. In the east they are much more plentyfull then in the west where everyone wants an open country magnum cross canyon blaster.

About 4 to maybe 5.......tops...assuming it's all original with no extra holes anywhere. Minty specimens can be had for 6.

If you think they are too high I think you may only be looking at current auctions asking prices. The sellers can ask any amount they want. But, that doesn't set the market. If you want to get a true picture of what its worth, what you need to do is refine your search to look only at the completed auctions for guns that actually sold. An average of several will be the current market.

I was just trying to see if I needed to leave original of modify. Thinking of adding a tang sight or if I can find a Redfield peep adding that. I don't see the value being affected much doing this.
The value is more for the family since I now longer get rid of shooters. Regretted every one I sold....
