I am worn out!
I just got done spraying weeds in my graveled areas. Fourteen four gallon backpack sprayers full of Roundup and My legs are sore. I am only 69 , I need to get in shape! This is the earliest I have ever gotten that job done in the last 31 years .

No moderation involved with you is there?

We do our foodplots with a sprayer mounted on our four wheelers. We're all "old dudes" and there's no strain doing it this way. Have a wheeler? The sprayers don't cost that much.

14 4 gallon loads of spray and the time it would take to spray it would wear out a 24 year old Army Ranger -- dont sweat it .

Once you get it dead, some Casseron (pre emergent) would prolly keep it from coming back.

Re: I am worn out!
Thanks for the encouragement guys. Blaine, I have casseron in all my bark areas and have for years. It works well there. I wonder if it would get washed out of gravel areas? I have around 5,000 sq. ft. of gravel areas besides other areas to keep the weeds down in.
I don't have any ride on power equipment although i have them in my shop for service all the time.
My lawn mower is a self propelled John Deere walk behind that is 30 years old and still running on it's second spark plug. I change the oil about every five years and the oil that comes out of it is still clear and clean. It starts up on the first or second pull every time.
Kawasaki engines are amazing. I was the service mgr. of the local JD dealership for 8 years and I have never seen a major engine failure of a Kawasaki engine. Almost bullet proof. And made in the USA !!!

Re: I am worn out!
1960 Yosemite I was on a bug spray crew for awhile. We had a mule packer that would leave cans of spray in the woods for us. For a short while it was a good life. We had a tent camp in the high country about a 8 mile hike from Tioga Pass. Maybe 10 of us with a cook. My sprayer leaked. I was wearing a wide web belt with a canteen etc. That rubbed on the leaky pole sprayer. It raised a blister about the size of my hand on my gut. I had to go to a doctor in the valley and do other type work. Just remembered what that work was. A big wind storm had knocked down some huge old pines on the tent camp for the camp curry workers, killing something like 7 of them! We had to buck up the fallen trees.
Re: I am worn out!
Liquid is approximately 7 pounds to the gallon, and the weight of the sprayer, and you start with somewhere around 30 to 35 pounds on your back, then walk with it. No, you are not out of shape for your age. A 24 year old Ranger would be carrying closer to 75 pounds, but how many of us were capable of being Rangers even in our 20s? 3 Battalions of Rangers in all of the Army. About 16 Battalions of Airborne, and a whole bunch of Battalions of regular Infantry. The math shows that even among the Army, the Rangers are not too common. A bunch of Sergeants go to Ranger School and get Ranger Qualified, but few of those are actually capable of being in a Ranger Battalion.
You might not be in as good of shape as you were last year, but you are obviously not a couch potato.
