Our little town breaks out the flags several times a year -- great bunches of nice bright American flags that line the main street and a ways up the major side streets. Memorial Day, 4th of July, Armistice Day -- and maybe once a decade VE Day and VJ Day. Today they had 'em out in full force and I was scratching my head -- what the heck is today?
Asked the lady at the gas station. She tells me this is BV Day. "BV Day"? I ask.
"Yeah -- got our Butz outta Vietnam Day".
