"Well that was a first! While meeting with the Director of Agriculture this afternoon he received a phone call and politely asked to be excused as he had a lion to go attend to in the next village. Two assault rifles and a cloud of dust later he were gone...... Yup we farm in Africa!"
Ya gotta love it.

Sure hope that ended well, Jim.
Re: From my friend who is the Director of the Iris Farm
I'm always fascinated how my east-coast, big-city relatives just can't imagine living in the rural Midwest and dealing with coyotes or whatever. (Especially since they typically act as if we hilljacks are so culturally infantile, yet WE can easily imagine living in the big cities on the coast, and often have done so..........I'm thinking the average Midwestern rural dude has more 'cross-cultural experience' and is way more adaptable and 'inclusive' than many of the big-city sophisticates...)
Anyway, Africa is to the Midwestern USA what we are here to Boston or New York.....Lions versus coyotes versus dumpster-rats...
