I'm looking for some load information which is a little hard to come by for the Winchester 356. Have any of you used the Hornady FTX 200 GR FTX and tried to duplicate or exceed factory loads of the same? Want to use it on a moose, I killed a
bear with the 356 a couple of years ago, had great results.

I haven't, but it's an excellent topic.

I'd be interested in that as well.

There's some information, here, for the FTX in the ER:

In my 336ER, I use the Sierra 200g RN, pushed hard by H4895.

Oddly, I've not worked up any loaded any 200gr loads to mimic the factory stuff because I've still got a stockpile of the 200gr factory stuff, and a few boxes of the 250gr factory.
I did make a load a while back to try and make a 200gr .356Win load (using the 200 gr RN and 200gr FTX Hornadys) that performed in the .35 Remington range. 44.5gr of Win 748. The FTX shot about 100fps faster than the RN, but both got 1" groups at 100yds. The RN shot about 2100+fps and the FTX shot about 2200+fps. I haven't really worked on anything further with the 200gr bullets.
Most of my effort has been on developing a 'go to' load for when I run out of the factory stuff. I wanted to get a medium between the 200gr factory velocity and the 250gr factory energy, and I believe that I've managed to get both using the Speer 220gr HCFN over 47.1gr of Win 748.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.
