It's one reason I have a Roller and not a Gasser. Cast bullets and black powder still work.

During a Zombie Apocalypse I can both shoot and make a smokescreen... ;-P

Some 91s have polygonal rifling. Would those bores be suited for cast bullets as well? By the way, can you tell simply by looking whether a barrel has polygonal or standard rifling?

Didn't Pope make polygonal rifled barrels? I'm sure he intended for them to shoot lead bullets.

Sometime in the near future, it is my intention to try some cast bullets in my FAL. I could do black but think it might be too much for the gas system to handle. May try it though.
