Well, I broke down and bought one of them new-fangled pocket pistols yesterday and I actually bought 2 boxes of factory ammo! I have only one other striker fired pistol (all the others are hammer, single and double action semi-autos) and don't care for the trigger. I got a new Ruger LC9s-Pro. My main concern with a new pistol was the terrible, loooong trigger of today's striker fired guns but the Ruger's trigger is fairly short and light. The "finger hook" magazine base plate didn't fit my hand so I switched with the flat base supplied and it's much more comfortable. I'll shoot it when we have more than 3 1/2 hours of dry weather.
While I was waiting for my DOJ check to go through (a whole 20 minutes) the clerk asked me if I had ammo. I started to say yep, but instead I asked her what kind she had (I have about 500 rounds of various 9mm stuff for my other two 9mms). She showed me some 124 gr. FMJ stuff and some Hornady American Gunner 115 gr. XTP, on sale so I bought two boxes of the Hornady (don't tell anyone this dedicated reloader actually bought some factory fodder! ).
I'll give a range report if it ever stops raining...

for my 9, I decided to go with the 124gr Sig Performance HP ammo. Not too pricy for premium at $14/20, (LGS price)and it has good reviews.

I've been reloading for quite a while and have been kinda "proud" that I haven't needed to purchase any factory ammo in many years. In the last 5 years (since I've been in Oregon) I have purchased 3 boxes of ammo; 2 of the Hornady 9mm yesterday, and one of 45 ACP 'cause I didn't have any bullets. But with the low cost of some of this premium ammo, I may buy more...
