Borescope

Post by Daisyman »

As per a previous topic on here on the borescope camera for $14.00....I just got one of those and it works really great......I think. After some fussing, I can take pictures with it. ( it makes the camera sound). The only problem is I can't find them after I do. The instruction sheet says" the pictures will be stored in the pictures favorites or set up a picture path again as need. You can find the pictures the following way directly." Under that is a photo of a monitor screen that you're supposed to be able to see the pull down menu about the size of my flip phone screen that I can't read for anything. I've looked everywhere in my photos and any place else I could think of to no avail. Help! :?: Where the heck are they??

Edit.. I used the camera to look at the menu on the paper I couldn't see and it is written in CHINESE. Me no speekey Chinese, no readie either!

.

I would suggest checking the "documents", "files", and "pictures" sections of your device(s ).

With my Nikon digi-camera, I had to set a destination for pics transferred from the camera, before I ever loaded the pic(s).

Sorry John, but I only EAT Chinese, and I avoid BUYING anything from there when I can...

Daisyman:
Open a Word or Text document, type some gibberish and then try to save it to "Recent Places" -- when you click that option, the file the borescope software has saved the photos to should be visible. Or you might also look in "Documents", then "My Documents" and then "My Pictures". Either way, there should be a file saved that you can get to and find out "where" they are hiding.

Good luck!

I tried the document route but I don't have "word" or "office"on my computer. Where is "recent places" at on here. I admit to not being too computer savvy, especially after I got Window 8.1 and then Windows 10. I could navigate the old Windows 7 pretty good, but 10.........Ayi yi yi, no comprende.

Sometimes I also think 'bout a bore scope. Then I recall what a Fellow Shooter once said; "A bore scope just shows you something else to be worried about."

Mine are stored in my "Pictures" folder, under sub-folders titled for each date the pictures were captured... i.e.: 21051121-0, the pictures are named "snapshot00001", "snapshot00002", etc. It took a while to find them, and I should have renamed them and then stored them in proper sub-folders for each of the individual guns I have... but then hindsight IS perfect. Now I don't know which barrels are which!

I have looked absolutely everywhere on my 'puter for those pictures, in my 'pictures', I have no subfolders, I looked in 'temp' files, nothing, nada. How frustrating!!
I did take a look down the barrel on the muzzleloader I had pics of on here a while back and I'm sure I see a loaded ball in there!
