Chelsea's Christmas present

Post by hondo1892 »

My daughter came home for Christmas and New Years to visit and get out of the city. We don't have lot's of funds right now for presents. So I made her a folding knife for Christmas this year. I had some ivory I bought years ago and she wanted that for the scales on the knife. I didn't get it finished by Christmas day but I did have it done soon after. The blade is just under three inches and has steel liner and bolsters. If photo bucket cooperates I'll post some pictures here soon of it. For some reason it let me down load my photo's but won't let me edit them or get back to my library.

Nothing quite so good as something crafted by the givers own hand. The gift of time spent just for them.

I'd be mighty happy with that for a gift. Very nice and made by dad. :D :D

Very nice.

Nothing says I love you like a gift made with your own hands.

Thanks guys. She was happy with it. I promised to make her a flintlock squirrel gun for college graduation. I haven't started yet and she only has two semesters left. I gotta get cracken on it soon.
