Very nice rifles you have.
I too set most of my silhouette rifles up with a Merit equipped Marble's tang rear sight and a Lyman 17A front sight. It makes for a very accurate combination.
Have you used your .44-40 for the Rifle Cartridge discipline on full-sized targets? Mine does very well if I can do my part. The 200 meter Rams don't go down fast, but they do go down if I hit 'em.

No, never have. I don't load them up very hot, don't need to with the half size targets, all you have to do is hit them and they fall down. I just load for accuracy, 10.2 grains of Blue Dot with Lasercast 180 grain, .431 diameter.

I could not really tell from the photo. Was looking on my phone at the time. Thanks.

I really want to get another 1873 Uberti. I have had the 24" Oct barrel and also a 20" round.
