Agreed - but then we'd have to listen to them all over again... or even a second string!
I think they start the election season earlier each cycle because they know by the end that the country is so sick and tired of listening to their twaddle that we're happy to vote just to get them all to SHUT UP.

I don't know how the Democrats usually feel about their 'choices' but it seems the Republicans have made the same mistake every year since Reagan - they nominate a nice 'moderate' who fails to inspire their own party members, with the naive hope that it will appease or even inspire the middle-of-roaders or even snare some Democrats.
It never works. Even when they get elected, it just dissapoints Republicans and the cycle repeats, with fewer people each year willing to waste their vote on the 'lesser of two evils' - you'd think they'd learn.
Alan Keyes, Ron Paul, Huckabee, any number of serious 'conservative' or 'Libertarian' (which is what this nation USED to be) candidates, but they always pick one who seems to have no willingness to stand for principles involving freedom.
It usually boils down to pick a Socialist or a Fascist...

Well, I've been voting since '71, and I remember Kennedy (circa 62-63) and he was no conservative, nor were others before him.AJMD429 wrote:(which is what this nation USED to be)
Mc Carthy considered himself above the law, in many ways, and so have lots of others.
We have humans we elect, and they can and will make mistakes, JUST LIKE YOU AND I DO, only differences are, when we screw up big time, it's not usually in the media 5 minutes later.
None of them think exactly like I do, so I may have to learn to accept that others might want something differnet than I. I may not like it but have to accept. it nonetheless.

Carpet bombing isn't an option?Lastmohecken wrote:Well, unfortunately, there is only one clear cut choice, when it comes time to vote, this year. And it's a sad choice, kinda like cutting off your leg to save your life, but you better make it.

But OI, Senator Reid just told us that paying taxes was voluntary. Are you implying otherwise?Old Ironsights wrote:Carpet bombing isn't an option?Lastmohecken wrote:Well, unfortunately, there is only one clear cut choice, when it comes time to vote, this year. I thought I'd ask Wesley Snipes what he thought of that!

Here's ONE...!

Put Keyes and Paul together and you'd have a great team. If the Republicans had the balls to pick candidates like this, we'd have easily won. Instead, they pick 'moderates' whatever they are...look like RINO's to me.
