Finished Tommyhawk
Guy's here is how the ax looks finished. I put the finishing touches on it the same day my show started. After seeing it done I decided I would like to keep it for a while so I put a high price on it. I figured if someone wanted it for that price, they wanted it more than I did. It came back home with me so I'll be able to keep it for a few days before it moves on.

Re: Finished Tommyhawk
Very nice work friend. What was your " don't want to sell " price?
Re: Finished Tommyhawk
Seven hundred bucks. I can probably get that much, but very few folks will part with that kind of cash right now. Once in a while you will run into a collector that just has to buy something at a show. This year the "Big" show was way down in attendance. Its been declining every year since BO has been in office.
Re: Finished Tommyhawk
that looks like a lot of fun in the making part. what are the light colored pieces? how are they set in?
is that a working piece? it looks like something I'd like to swing at some stove wood.
thanks for posting the photos.

Re: Finished Tommyhawk
one of the nicest modern hawks I have seen. Well Done!
Re: Finished Tommyhawk
Grizz the light colored metal is coin silver. The silver is inlayed into the head. Yes it can be used I put a heat treated edge on it. If it seen lots of use the silver would probably fall out sometime or another. If I know the person wants an axe for using I leave off the bling and just make it plain. That way they don't worry about messing it up and less cost for them also.

Seems like everything has been declining since BO has been office..... The reason for that is the" redistribution of wealth" that BO likes so much! Except him, of course.
