While on a hike along the Bow River. Pair of brothers, 3 years old I'm guessing. Started out about 80 yards and on opposite sides of the Bow River, ended up at about 30 yards on same side. They were circling me and got my wind and took off. Looks like the rear bear had me pegged when he was crossing the river.

Close enough, there is some controversy about growing or shrinking grizz populations here. I'm in the growing group. For decades a grizzly sighting was a rarity now not so much. Cougar are doing just fine here as well.

Lovely photos, confirms how lucky I am to live and work in Alberta.
