Lever gun question
I found a guy with a foremost 72 montgomry wards 30/30.The trigger droppes out with the lever.I tracked it to be a Noble 50 made buy Mossberg.Noble 50 is also a pump shotgun.
Any 1 here ever see 1 or know anything about it. No model # found for Mossberg or maybee they only made it for Noble???
It looks a lot like a Marlin 36 but the trigger stays with the lever when you lever it.

Re: Lever gun question
I don't know much about them but Numrich have plenty of spares for the 472, so maybe they don't break too often.

IIRC (and I may not ), the only leverguns that have triggers that travel with the lever are the BL-22, the BLR, the Win 88, the Sako Finnwolf, and the Mossberg 472/479's.
The Mossy's were made from 1972-83, branded as Mossberg's, a few store-branded guns ( like the Foremost), and a couple of commemoratives (the 479RR/Roy Rogers & the Brush Gun type M472-One in 5,000) .
They were chambered in .30-30 & .35 Remington, with 18" (Brush Gun model), 20" (Carbine & PCA models) or 24" (Rifle model) barrels - at various times within the rifle's production life.
IDT they were D/T'd for either scope mount bases, receiver peep sights, or a tang peep sight.
They were/are good, reliable steel & walnut leverguns.

Re: Lever gun question
The trigger does swing with the lever. There is a picture of the rifle on MarlinOwers.com, the topic is "Do you remember the Mossberg 472?"

Re: Lever gun question
The one I had came with a broken extracter. Other than that I don't know of any issues. Numrich had it. I put it in and gave the gun away. Never did shoot it other than function test.
Also toggle safety on left side.

The Sako Finnwolf trigger is receiver mounted. I just finished working on one last week. I think one of the reasons they no longer make it is because there is a design flaw in the hammer. For no good reason it has two ears with a hole thru them to pivot on and they are easily break off when assembling/ pinning it. They milled a slot all the way across the top for the spring strut but that created the two ears There is no parts available so I had to weld it up to rebuild it. It now is a solid one piece drilled for the pivot. I just milled out just enough for the spring strut leaving the pivot point solid.
The lever doesn't connect to the bolt either. It has a rack and pinion type setup linked to the bolt. What a PITA to get it timed. That's my rant on the Finnwolf.
That Mossberg pictured does have a lever mounted trigger. I have had 2 or 3 in here. They seem to work OK and hold up well. But, that trigger group is really stiff and the way it's designed I didn't see any easy way to improve the pull weight, either.
