Henry leverguns

Post by longshotz »

Good day all you Henry rifle owners.

A couple of questions if I may.
a) What is the heaviest cast bullet the .44 Mag. will digest and shoot accurately?
b) Ditto for the jacketed stuff.

Thanks

.

I'm thinking, either way, that a 300gr slug would do OK, but after a LOT of years shooting .44 Mag's, I personally prefer the pretty much standard 240 grainer's.

My Ruger 96 has a 1 - 20 twist and shoots Speer 270 grain Deep Curl bullets quite well.
