Beautiful Bess with wonderful patina. I had a Miroku Bess that had been "carbined" and cannot believe I let it go. A joy to carry and shoot.

Nath, I look at picture #1 and picture #3 and see quieter mornings as a possibility...it's all up to you...pheasant under glass comes to mind.....

What is that on the top or left of the wrist in the first picture? Looks like a brass plate of some sort...

Yes a brass plate on the wrist.Not sure what they are called Griff.

Neither do I. Other'n possibly "presentation plaque". Nothing inscribed? My Uberti Hawken has on one the top flat of the barrel, and I had my name engraved. Sorry, no pic... :wink:

Very nice. I don't know what it's called either but mine on my virginia rifle has my initials in silver. I have left all others blank on my other firearms.

Really like your photography and I am drawn to your journey in blackpowder firearms. Thanks for sharing.
