OT - another Heston tribute

Post by Ysabel Kid »

It didn't take long for the leftist to begin attacking this great man once he passed. There have been a bunch of smug references to taking his and our guns now that his hands are "cold and dead". If I hear one person say that to or around me in public, you'll see the story on the national news, and it won't be pretty...

Here's another tribute to Charlton Heston that came out yesterday on www.townhall.com. Here's the link if you want to read it from the site:

No Forgiving Charlton Heston
By Brian Fitzpatrick
Thursday, April 10, 2008

My grandfather, a college football star, played for the NFL champion Providence Steam Roller back in 1928, so this weekend I was looking forward to seeing George Clooney’s new 1920s football movie, Leatherheads. That’s before I found out how Clooney, like many lefties in Hollywood and the news media, had treated the late Charlton Heston.

Clooney’s offense took place a few years back. According to Life Site News, “For his conservative stands, however, Heston was attacked and reviled by his Hollywood colleagues. In 2003 actor and leftist political activist George Clooney joked about Heston’s illness [Alzheimer’s disease], and, after Heston criticized him for the remark, he retorted, ‘I don’t care. Charlton Heston is the head of the National Rifle Association.
He deserves whatever anyone says about him.’â€

Charlton Heston stood head and shoulders above a lot of so called "stars" in more ways than one. People like Clooney ain't fit to kiss his boots! :x

You mean the party of tolerance can't tolerate him? :? A great man indeed and thanks for the post Ysabel.

I liked Heston as an actor and a Man.

But he was also 100% anti-EBR. Thought they were "scary" and they "possess more firepower than necessary for hunting and self-defense"... and said so on the Radio.

Of course, that was OK for the NRA spin machine - as long as they could convince people that that didn't mean he was for outlawing them.

American Rifleman mag from 1968 IIRC there is an article in there where the NRA actually slams him for "staying on the anti-gun bandwagon" http://www.gunownersalliance.com/starfall_i.htm

And with that: A political cartoon from several years ago: http://www.keepandbeararms.com/images/a ... n_500w.jpg

Moses didn't walk on water - he walked through it, so I won't belabor the point beyond that.

A genuinely good man, but not the RKBA hero the Post Knox NRA portrayed him to be.

Mr. Heston stood for the same things all his life sometimes at great personal risk. We should all emulate such a person.

Clooney ridiculing an Alzheimer's victim really gets my goat. It is easy and despicable to attack somebody who can't defend themselves.
Sincerely,

Hobie

Clooney - like most of his ilk - is a mental midget and a coward. They never debate anyone who can debate them back, and they never attack anyone face-to-face, like men, who can object personally to their slanderous stuff.

As game keeper said, Clooney and most of the rest of Hollyweird isn't fit to kiss Heston's boots - though I'd like to see them do so, but only if the boots were covered in pelosi

Let's see any of the bunch of leftists loosers top this:

The Patriot offers some of Charlton Heston's finest speeches on our website: On the 2nd Amendment:
