This is from opening pheasant season here in ND. I was fairly swamped with work on the ranch, but Sunday evening my daughter and I went out for an hour. Ended up with one nice rooster, and it was the first bird my 6 year old daughter was with for, so it was a pretty special rooster. I shot the rooster with a 1907 L.C. Smith double barrel that I bought off Rugerforum. It really made me wonder if this was the first pheasant this ol' Elsie ever shot, or the 1000th. I wish it could tell me!
Truly a great day around here. We had to get a picture, and my three year old son snuck in which didn't bother me any.

Re: post your latest hunting pix....TOO CLOSE
This was a bit too close...almost stepped on this 3 plus foot water moccasin
He was spread out laying in the middle logging road....2 steps away
he was pretty thick...about the size of my wrist..
he took of when I pulled my camera out and flew into the ditch
