What Levergun is on YOUR Horizon? (Part 1)
Please note, the list is longer than the 15 allowable choices to one poll; so if your choice isn't listed look at "(Part 2)".
I've made this a multiple choice poll... up to 5... if you feel the need, you can prioritize your choices in a post...
If your choice is not listed on either poll, please PM me, and I'll add it to the list... I'm certain I left at least ONE off my initial listing!
No need to identify caliber or whether you desire a clone, as any caliber in a particular model is acceptable... even if it wasn't produced in the original version if you're thinking of a clone.
FYI, no ulterior motive, just curious.

I really want a "Brush Popper" in .38-40 or .45 Colt (which I'd have modified into accepting the Cowboy45Special cartridge for use with BP)

It would be interesting to take this poll to the next level by
separating the originals from the modern day copies.

Yeah, but you know that would require a "Part 3"... I'm finding it hard to keep track of just two! It'll be interesting to see what's desired after the 30 days are up!casastahle wrote:Bump +

Re: What Levergun is on YOUR Horizon? (Part 1)
All of the ones I'm interested in on are on the list above. Never was much of a Marlin person although I do have one token example.
I think what I want most is a gun that nobody made or makes. I'd have to build it myself. Basically is the 1894 Winchester TOP EJECT with a full 26" octagon barrel with full length magazine chambered for the .45 Colt. No such thing ever made.
Other than that I'd love an 1860 Henry and an 1873 Winchester.

No place there for a Marlin 1894 CL in 32-20. Have cases and a 1,000 bullets.

Re: What Levergun is on YOUR Horizon? (Part 1)
I'm wanting either a '73 or '92 (or maybe both ) chambered specifically in .44 special,
a '76 in .50-95 or a '86 in .50-110,
and a '95 carbine in .30-40 Krag.
As you can tell I don't want much.

Put me down for an 1895 Winchester.

I'll be getting a Uberti 1876 in 45-75 with my corn-pickn money this fall!
Re: What Levergun is on YOUR Horizon? (Part 1)
I want a 66 in 38/40 or Henry in 44/40. I have a japchester 92 44 mag I would trade ifin I could find someone to swap with. Maybe a 73 but I like those purty brass frames.

When I can get the medical bills paid off for SightHunters surgery, and the bill for the transmission on the Explorer, then I will start saving for a Model 1892 in .357, and a revolver to go with it.

Re: What Levergun is on YOUR Horizon? (Part 1)
I'd love to have a genuine Winchester 1873 - "The gun that won the West" - but instead of the true .44-40 configuration, a newly manufactured .44 Magnum in a 19 inch barrel. It's not the same as an original, but yet it pretty much is in looks, function, and aura. The .44 Magnum allows for better and cheaper brass for more reloads and you are able to share .44 Special and .44 Magnum loads (in many cases) with handguns of the same caliber.
In essence, an "upgrade" to the great old one-caliber combination that helped to make this rifle famous.
