Will a 30 Gov 1895 Win feed if converted to 25Krag Ackley?
I have the 40 degree reamer on order and some projects planned, but I also have an 1895 Win that has a shortened barrel. It is not a collector grade, anyway.

Make up a dummy cartridge and try it. It wont completely chamber but should tell you if it will feed or not.
If you don`t already have a gun chambered in that style to get a case from than you may have to advertise for one. Better than ruining the gun.

IDK, because Ackley / Ackley Improved cartridge's shoulders are blown out, as compared to their parent case(s).
You might have to use it as a single-shot rifle.

I don't see why it wouldn't. A dummy cartridge would be great to try first. Interesting project. I'm on the road this week so I don't have my 95 handy to watch the contact points of the cartridge when it feeds to see if there is any potential issues.
