I understand they are now making them again. Was wondering if anyone has gotten their hands on one yet ?

Nope. Seen a couple Remlin leverguns since the buyout, and they looked ok, but some folks have got hold of lemons.

They would be smart to make the 1894-C's though - they are a very good 'first levergun', and one that even seasoned levergunners also seem to like.

Availability was supposed to be next month, according to Remington.

I read an article last month on the REM. made Marlins and he said the most current guns are vastly improved and as good as they used to be in the before time.
We will see.....I hope that is true. :?

The Freedom Group has done a huge marketing push to convince people the QC issues are resolved. They shipped a bunch of rifles out to writers and put a lot of money into marketing to get favorable reviews. A lot of dealers bought Marlins again, and were disappointed. I have not seen much improvement.
