Prayer Requests (plural) - cancer in the family

Post by Ysabel Kid »

Fellas, I have a prayer request for you all. Two of my wife's cousins have cancer. One is only a couple years older, in her 40's. Life-long smoker, they discovered cancer in her mouth last year. She had surgery late last week, and they had to remove her tongue and a good part of her jaw bone. She's facing months of follow-up surgeries and healing, if they got lucky and got it all. I'd appreciate a prayer for Judy that the doctors were successful and got all the cancer. A prayer for Peggy as well, though her prognosis is not nearly as good. I've seen the power of prayer here; you guys and gals are the best!

Thanks,

Jay, I am so sorry to hear of this news. The C word is devasting both physically and mentally. I am a three time survivor of it. You have my prayers and wishes for blessings for the entire family. Thanks for asking.

Ysabel Kid,
I was sorry to hear about the health situation of your two relatives. I will remember them in my prayers.

A person whose body is more alkaline than acidec (7.0 and above) has a very very good chance of avoiding disease. If someone already has a disease like cancer they stand a much better chance of beating it if they can get their body PH to 7.0 and above because cancer cannot survive in an alkaline environment.

For more information on Alkaline and acidec foods see:

Prayers Up - also for your wife, as she has to deal with the emotional rough times, though fortunately not as the actual patient. Young people shouldn't have to face such things.

We have tried to use the situation for instruction to our two young kids. Warn them about the dangers of smoking. They see their grandmother (my Mom) carting around an oxygen tank all day long, so that helps drive home the point.

They took part of the muscle from Judy's thigh to reconstruct a tongue for her. Hoping this will enable her to speak again. She'll never taste anything again though.

Guys - I won't preach to any of you about smoking - I know you've heard it all before. Not preach, but I'd be happy to get down on my knees and beg you to stop if you still do. I wouldn't wish this kind of suffering on anyone...

Prayers are much appreciated guys - thank you!
