And I thought I had custom hats. All we're done as he said, but no one made them in front of me.

That was a mighty good read, thanks.

great-looking hat, and there's nothing like a custom hat.
Re: Cowboy Hat Maker....
I have the Stetson Factory Outlet reasonably close to me, and I think I would rather have one of his hats. Cool.

Re: Cowboy Hat Maker....
I met this fella in Maine - oh, about 10 years ago I guess. My
oldest son and I had gone to a hunting/outdoor show in western Maine,
and there was this fella making hats. My kid, who was about 8 or 9 at
the time, wanted one. I didn't have the $150 (each!) or so, or I might have
gotten us a pair! Beautiful hats.
Vey talented craftsman, and enjoys a simpler lifestyle. And yes, he uses
those antique tools shown in the article. He's also quite an accomplished
conversationalist, and if he was online, he'd be a very welcome addition to
this forum. Most of the folks here would like him very much.
Nice article - thanks for sharing and bringing back some fond memories.
