Sure why not.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Re: "Beretta 84" Free Drawing
Cool drawing, but one thing: USPS to Alaska is no different in cost than to many locations in the Lower 48.
One of my pet peeves is people refusing to ship to Alaska, or charging a premium to do so. There is usually no reason. Is it just because people are used to seeing others say the same thing? I can understand stuff like ammo, with the crazy UPS requirements and stuff, or hazardous materials that USPS won't ship, but everything else ships to AK just fine.
By the way, don't enter me in your drawing - I would rather this go to someone who will use it

Re: "Beretta 84" Free Drawing
AFAIK, every common carrier (UPS/FEDEX/etc), and USPS, has varying charges/postage according to how many of each particular shipper "zones" away the delivery is, from where the shipment starts.7.62 Precision wrote:

Wherever anyone ships/mails (I only use USPS) a parcel (not a standard envelope) "from" is "Zone 1", whether the location is Florida or (in your case) Alaska - so shipment to somebody across-country (or further) can be several "zones" (+ $$) away from the point of departure.

Indeed a LOT of hats lost - including mine. I've got a couple grandkids and a nephew that would benefit from being exposed to such a nifty training tool. Please include yours truly in the drawing.

A drawing? How does this work?
Re: "Beretta 84" Free Drawing 3/25- Please repost if you're
Put me back in, too. Thanks!
Re: "Beretta 84" Free Drawing 3/25- Please repost if you're
At the end of my self-set drawing entry period (say, a week), I count the number of posts, from first to last, of members wishing to participate in the drawing (say - 25).David wrote:A drawing? How does this work?
I then use an online random-number generator with that number (say- 25), which randomly picks a number betwen zero and whatever number's plugged-in.
I then re-count down the posts, again from first to last - until I get to the winning number post/member.
Due to the forum glitch last week, the drawing lost at least half of the 27 "hats" thrown into the ring - why I extended this drawing, with a message to check/repost if a member's post was among the missing.
I'm sorry to say that, this time, this drawing ended with less entries than the original (18, ILO around 30) thread had.
Nevertheless, WE HAVE A WINNER ! - member: JRD ! - Congrats, Jason (Please PM your snailmail addy to me)

Doesn't matter - as I jot down the name that goes with each number during the first count, as a double-check on my senioritis.David wrote:I could re-arranged the postsPete44ru wrote:David wrote:A drawing? How does this work?
