Did you notice the bluing wore off of the bottom of the action? My guess is Ike really did use that shotgun a fair amount. Being a side by side aficionado myself, I must agree with Ike, the man had good taste to pick that one.

I've often thought it'd be real hard to have a more successful life than was lived by Dwight Eisenhower.

When you think about it George Washington lived a similar life.

Seems I recall Eisenhower giving a speech one time and he was talking about how great it was to live in a country where a Kansas farm boy could become President. I actually believe his voice "broke" when he mentioned this.

"I like Ike." Remember that one?

Great story :D trouble is that video led me to another interesting one and then another...................used up an hour :D :D
