OT Another small field report

Post by gamekeeper »

Just as Nath posted, today started dry but by noon the weather really turned nasty.
The keeper had organised another vermin drive so about nine of us started out knowing full well we were due for a soaking.
The keeper's dad shot a mangy fox and we got a few Jays and Pigeon's, then the heavens opened and we tramped around the rest of the woods without another shot being fired but for a couple at squirrel drey's.

I'm now cleaning my 16GA and trying to dry the rest of my gear.
The things we do in the name of FUN!
Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.

Hampshire is it? I will have to look that up on the map to see where it is. Good day!

sure you loved every moment of it. Guns, game, friends, can't get any better than that.

Game keeper -

You mean more than just you and Nath still shoot? Here I thought you two were the last Brits left who knew which end of the gun is dangerous!

J/K - I have a lot of respect for your troops. Now your government, that's sadly different... not much different than over here though - at least the way we're heading!

Glad you got in some sport early on. It rained here briefly this morning - we still need it bad!
