Levergun Bison Hunt - NOW ONE LEFT! (PHOTO)
I have 10 yearlings and 1 - 2 1/2 year old. Five hunts are for sale for $750 each to Levergunners. Any day in April 2008 (Hunt includes 2 1/2 days lodging and everything but food and $45 license). Hunting is done spot and stalk. These hunts are specifically for members of this forum and with traditional style rifle of your preference. You keep the whole entire animal. Processing/taxidermy available locally.
Location: Hondo, TX First come first served if you can make it.

Thats a good price to be sure. I would be interested, except I'd have to ignore the 3 local bison ranchers that are going to be practically giving away hunts this spring due to the bad winter.
Does that price include the animal?

That is a great opportunity for those able to attend. I wish I had the extra money and the time off. I figured that it would be a 4200 mile round trip from my place.
Just curious. Would you let someone use a TC Contender handgun in 45-70? Although I post on a site dedicated to the lever action rifle, I do not own any.

The meat processing is about $250 straight cut. Add sausage, jerky, other special stuff and it can run $375.
I would let you shoot a 45-70 contender without hesitation.
If you want to bring 2 hunter for one animal a child or spouse is free. Otherwise, the second person can pay for lodging at $99 for the 2 1/2 days.
A yearling will weigh between 900 and 1100 pounds on the hoof.
I have two probables. 3 more at this price if you can make it soon.
Thanks

There is one left for April.
If anyone is interested in a Bison hunt at this price, there should be a few remaining that will be ready to eat in August. The Leverguns Summer Safari is a great opportunity to kill a Bison and share the experience with your forum friends. If anyone is interested and can commit I will hold some for the Summer Safari.
Thank you to everyone that called, e-mailed and booked the hunts.

Is there still one left? If so, my 18 year old daughter wants to try for it. Would that be something we could do? She would use my Puma.
