Last nite I parked in one of the few truckstops with a nightclub inside... I at dinner in the restaurant, then stood outside the nightclub debating whether to go inside and have a beer... then a well-inebriated gent stumbled out... and my first thought was... "oh, that's gonna hurt in the morning!" Went out to my truck and turned on the TV...

like you, I have had to spend a few holidays out on the road, -strange how you don't feel very festive away from home - gets to be "just another day"

But I have been homebound for the better part of a year now and have been trying to enjoy it, next year may not be that way (although the years I am on the road are more profitable for sure)

Beer is kind of self policing for me, - since I don't chug 9 of the things an hour, I cant drink enough to get completely blotto -- but mix in a couple of margaritas, as I did last night, and its "Katy, bar the doors" (typical amateur party animal scenario)

Was in my own home and had some great company ---- I sat through the Times Square business while everyone else enjoyed music from artists I'm not into (except the Cuban kid singing from Miami - not my genre' but he's an entertainer for sure) watched the ball drop , then went to bed an hour early (for my time zone)
