Another One Ready For The Wall…

Post by cshold »

My son tagged out with this 7 point on Friday the 13th of this month.
He got two doe earlier in the archery season.

He took it with the H&R single shot 30-30 (170 grain Core-Lokt) with a 2.5X Bushnell.
Being a tree stand hunter (climber) he likes the compactness of this little rifle.

Nice job on the mount. We have that same rifle in, also in .30/30 . Two of the boys have made good use of it killing deer. I really like it and have slipped out with it a few times when the boys stayed home or were tagged out. I have a few kills with it as well. It really is Handi in the Ozark woods! I keep threatening to buy one for myself. I can't decide on the .30/30 or 44 mag version though.

That's a cool mount !!!! great touch with the brass in the plaque

H&R singles make a great gun, they seem to make you a good shot also

Thanks Brad,
Rifle kills get the brass shell head treatment.
Bow kills get a handmade oak arrowhead.
