A Little Texana

Post by Charles »

Here is a nice vintage Brill holster for the Browning Hi-Power and left handed to boot. Rob Leahy of Simply Rugged latched on to it and passed it on to me, knowing my fondness for Texas stuff, Hi-Powers and I am left handed. Did I mention I like it allot!

Sweet!

I had about a dozen Hi Powers at one time. Sold the whole lot when military issued pistols got pricey.
A few of those are up there on the "Wish I hadn't sold those" list.

I've been wanting another lately. Few pistols fit my hand as well as the HP does!

Great find!!

I think the total is 5 of those Brazillian or South African 17 round mags.

Nice looking holster. I love my HiPower, except for the itty bitty safety which is nearly impossible to use with only my thumb. Guess I need to have that fixed. I have a couple of the 17 round mags and they work great. If I get the safety working better it will prolly become my CCW. 13+1 and 17 rounds in a back up should be good. Feels great in the hand and works with any rounds I put in it.

That is a very nice old rig! I am a long time HiPower fan also. I lucked out and picked up a Brill holster for a 5" N-frame at a pawn shop a couple years back.

Jeff's Guns in Natchitoches, La had several boxes of factory .41 A.E on the shelf a month or so back when I went in there. I noticed them when I was picking up some vintage Remington .38 ACP.
