Hey, that idea might keep holes out of my 94s stock.

Re: Another No-Drill Sling Solution: $20
Pretty close to what I sew up for $2, using a large heavy-duty elastic bungee cord from Walmart. Sew a small loop in one end to go around the barrel; cut 6" off the other end, sew the ends of the short piece together to form a circle, sew the circle to the end you cut it off of. The big-loop end goes around the butt, with the starp then passes around the end of the butt and under the loop, the small loop around the barrel. Goes on and comes off in about 2 seconds, and the tension keeps it snugged up against the rifle when you are not carrying it on your shoulder.

I use these slings on everything from Sharps, to flintlocks to Winchesters. They work well, but I modify how they attach to the barrel to avoid blocking my view of the front sight in a hurried shot.

Who is that guy

BTW, Cabela's sells those slings also.

That narrow strap doesn't look too comfortable to me, but I like the idea of no extra holes in the wood.
Re: Another No-Drill Sling Solution: $20
JB, my Sharps weighs a bit over 10.5 lbs. The strap is very comfortable - even all day, every day, for a week. The narrow strap helps it stay on the shoulder much better than a wide strap.
